Automation Engineer

We are looking for a talented Automation Engineer to lead the implementation of capital projects aimed at enhancing our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and execution of automation solutions to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure the highest standards of product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capital Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and successful completion of capital projects related to manufacturing automation.
  • Design and Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and develop automation solutions for new and existing manufacturing processes.
  • Technical Expertise: Apply mechanical engineering principles and automation expertise to optimize manufacturing equipment, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Integration: Interface with existing machinery and systems to seamlessly integrate new automation solutions into the production environment.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to ensure the safe operation of automated systems.
  • Cost Management: Work closely with the finance team to manage project budgets, ensuring projects are completed within established financial parameters.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality control measures to uphold product quality standards during and after the implementation of automation solutions.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of project plans, designs, specifications, and progress reports.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and technical support to plant personnel on the operation and maintenance of automation systems. Foster a culture of automation proficiency among the team members and empower them to troubleshoot and resolve automation-related issues.
  • Troubleshooting: Respond to automation-related incidents and perform root cause analysis to resolve system malfunctions promptly. Implement preventive maintenance strategies to ensure the reliability and longevity of automation equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years direct automation experience required executing capital projects in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong proficiency in automation technologies, including PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA systems, and robotics.
