NCC’s Threat Intelligence engineering team is looking for a DevOps and Automation Engineer to support analysts, developers, and engineers in delivering a world-class cyber threat intelligence capability. 

This role will do so by building, deploying, securing, monitoring, and maintaining CI/CD and automation pipelines. These pipelines will support the deployment of infrastructure and applications. In addition, the role will support the integration with other teams by developing generic automations around new and existing systems. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Building, deploying, securing, monitoring, and maintaining our CI/CD and automation pipelines 
  • Plugging the technical gap between our developers, engineers, and analysts using automation and CI 
  • Support engineers, developers, and analysts by providing robust support for automatable processes 
  • Identifying automation opportunities within the department 
  • Streamline our testing approach to prevent issues such as regression and destructive errors 

What we are looking for in you

Essential Capabilities and Understanding

  • Continuous automated testing, integration, and deployment, ideally using GitLab CI/CD 
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash 
  • Cloud networking and computing concepts, particularly in AWS 
  • Working in a DevOps team 
  • Containerisation technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes 
  • Security principals involved when working with cloud computing technologies 
  • Concise explanations of complex technical topics to other members of a DevOps team 
  • Problem solving and creative thinking to build new solutions from the ground-up 

Preferable Capabilities and Understanding 

  • Automated infrastructure deployment using Terraform/OpenTofu, Terragrunt, Ansible, and Packer 
  • Secrets management 
  • GitOps 
  • Data processing, management, and automation 
  • AWS certifications 
  • Threat Intelligence tooling and platforms, such as OpenCTI 
  • Working on open-source software 
  • Any additional programming/scripting/development experience
