The Opportunity

CACI is offering an opportunity to serve as an Automation Engineer in support of USEUCOM in Stuttgart, Germany. This position requires living in in Stuttgart, Germany and in support of real-world missions within the USEUCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR).

Responsibilities

The Automation Engineer will mature and add advanced capabilities to include:

  • Build and mature the automation and orchestration environment to increase operational efficiency,
  • Document automation/orchestration development and associated operational capabilities
  • Deploy and operate tools and workflows to manage platform infrastructure and applications
  • Design, implement, and maintain highly reliable and scalable systems
  • Proactively identify and address potential performance bottlenecks and single points of failure,
  • Develop automation framework to manage platform infrastructure and applications at multiple geographically dispersed sites,
  • Work with operations team members to build use-cases for automation and orchestration within the environment,
  • Create a road-map for development of tools to build and mature a DevOps environment
  • Drive the development and adoption of Infrastructure as Code,
  • Provide engineering and operational support for multiple software applications
  • Provide engineering and operational support for multiple software applications
  • Improve reliability and quality of software through rigorous testing and release procedures
  • Drive system design, platform management, and capacity planning
  • Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service level objectives

Qualifications

Required

  • Active Secret clearance with ability obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance
  • Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of programming, systems, and industrial networks.
  • Experience: Previous experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or software automation.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to diagnose complex hardware/software issues.
  • Communication: Ability to collaborate with team members and report on technical issues to stakeholders.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Software, or Automation) or equivalent experience.

  • Excellent communication skills with clients about project requirements
  • Ability to identifying opportunities to increase efficiency with automation
  • Proficient in researching and designing automation technology
  • Able to create a connection between information inputs, controllers and outputs
  • Knowledge if developing tests and simulations to ensure the systems work as intended
  • Able to establish and monitor and QA processes
  • Strong investigation skills regarding defects or errors in the technology

Pay Range:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$82,700 - 173,900 USD
