Role

Audit Services offers an exceptional opportunity to develop and apply your expertise in Regulatory Reporting, Treasury Management, and Financial Risk (including Credit, Liquidity, and Interest Rate Risk) as part of a global team of audit professionals. The team’s objective is to provide independent and objective assurance and advisory services that assess risk and help protect Northern Trust’s assets, reputation, and long-term sustainability.

We are seeking a motivated professional to support the enhancement and expansion of audit coverage, including evaluating adherence to laws and regulations across capital management, accounting, risk management, payroll, and selected operational activities. The role reports locally to the Senior Audit Manager in London and requires close collaboration with colleagues in Chicago, London, and Manila.

Working alongside other team members, you will support the end-to-end execution of audit engagements and gain exposure to senior management across Northern Trust. Success in the role is measured by the quality and integrity of audit documentation, timeliness of delivery, and your ability to build effective relationships both within Audit Services and with key stakeholders. While not required, experience in data manipulation, transformation, and reconciliation is highly desirable.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or Economics; an advanced degree in Law or Legal Management is preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience in banking or financial services, or relevant public accounting experience within the financial services industry
  • Professional certification such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and/or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global audit team, spanning multiple time zones and jurisdictions
