The Audio Visual/Video Teleconferencing (AV/VTC) Technician provides operational support for all classified and unclassified VTC systems and conference room technologies across the SAG-U headquarters and subordinate mission facilities. As a member of the J6 Operations Division (J63), this role is critical to enabling command-and-control communications and mission partner coordination.
MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Senior AV/VTC Engineer at GDIT, you will ensure the readiness and performance of systems that support executive-level briefings, secure conferences, and coalition collaboration. Your primary focus will be managing the complex video distribution and control systems for the command’s operations center data wall, directly impacting situational awareness and decision-making across the theater.

Troubleshoot advanced AV signal flow issues, including EDID, HDCP, and signal degradation problems within the video distribution system.
Program and update user interfaces on AV control systems (e.g., Extron TouchLink Pro, Crestron touch panels) to ensure intuitive operation for end-users.
Provide hands-on setup, operation, and user support for scheduled VTC events, including secure (SVTC) sessions with higher commands.
Maintain and troubleshoot AV/VTC equipment, including CODECs, control panels, microphones, and monitors.
Coordinate with NEC, DISA, and mission partners to schedule and establish multi-site calls.
Maintain documentation, SOPs, and configuration baselines for all AV systems, with a focus on the operations center and data wall.
