About the location:

1. AV equipment training to enhance professionalism.
2. Linguistic, technical and service training for guest interaction.
3. Familiarization with the basic operations of each part of the ballroom for guidance.
Summary:
The AV technician must be able to operate all AV equipment properly, as well as perform other job tasks with a high degree of quality. This position is offered as a 6-month contract to cover for an existing employee’s childcare leave.
Education:
Audio/Visual related degree preferred
Experience:
Minimum of 1 years as occupational AV professional in hospitality, service or luxury industry
Desired skills:
- Understanding of electronic equipment mechanisms
- Conversational, communication, and psychological skills for dealing with guests
- Ability to make general and detailed decisions about sound, acoustics, and lighting
- Ability to use basic guest-facing office and computer programs
Eligibility
- Patience for service
- Persistence in problem solving, flexibility in thinking
- Ability to remain calm when situations arise
Key functions:
1. Confirm and share event details with Sales, advising and interacting with them on equipment and services available at the hotel
2. Maintain setup of ballroom AV and lighting equipment, emergency repairs
3. Greeting guests. Receiving requirements. Advising and directing services and assisting on-site for VVIP events.
