The Opportunity

CACI is seeking an Audio Visual (AV) Technician is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of equipment used to enhance live or recorded events, such as conferences, concerts, and presentations. They bridge the gap between complex technology and user experience, ensuring that audio, video, and room systems function flawlessly.

Responsibilities

  • Setup & Installation: Transporting, assembling, and connecting hardware including microphones, sound speakers, projectors, video monitors, and recording equipment.
  • Live Operation: Mixing sound inputs, regulating audio levels, operating spotlights, and managing video feeds or graphics during live performances or meetings.
  • Troubleshooting: Rapidly diagnosing and resolving technical issues under pressure, such as signal failures or audio feedback, to avoid disrupting events.
  • Maintenance: Performing routine cleaning, minor repairs, and firmware updates; maintaining detailed inventory and maintenance records.
  • Client Collaboration: Meeting with organizers or directors to discuss technical requirements and tailoring setups to meet specific venue needs or layout diagrams.


Qualifications

Required

  • Active TS/SCI Clerance
  • At least 5 years' experience with Audio Visual room systems( Thinklogical, NVX, CISCO room systems, Biamp, Samsung, Planar, Crestron, Shure.) - Mandatory/No Waiver
  • Industry-recognized credentials like the Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) from AVIXA can significantly enhance job prospects - Mandatory/No Waiver
  • Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge of signal flow, electrical wiring, and various AV software and hardware brands

Desired

  • Physical Stamina: The ability to lift heavy equipment (often 50–80 lbs), stand for long periods, and navigate tight spaces or climb ladders.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and the ability to remain calm under the pressure of a live audience.

Pay Range:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$82,700 - 173,900 USD
