Audio Visual Engineer

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

 As an Audio Visual (AV) Engineer, you will support the CST-AV Engineering Team by assisting with research and evaluation of new AV technologies, setting up and striking demos, proof-of-concept builds, and testing. You’ll help create analysis reports, review design drawings and bills of materials, and maintain lab operations and inventory. Additionally, you’ll coordinate logistics tasks such as shipping and vendor access, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage documentation, project trackers, and administrative updates.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support AV engineering research and design initiatives.
  • Participate in proof-of-concept testing and demos.
  • Provide documentation and reporting for design and testing activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors.
  • Maintain operational efficiency in lab and warehouse environments.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • BA/BS degree preferred in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Enthusiasm and keen desire to learn.
  • 5+ years with AV technologies such as audio, video, video conferencing, production lighting, live streaming, routing and control systems, etc.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Mac at a user level, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
  • Conceptual understanding of audio and video signal flow is a plus.
  • Logistics experience is a plus.
  • Ability to travel as needed for Site Acceptance Testing (up to 25%).

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:

  • Familiarity with programming languages for interactive multimedia content control and management.
  • Experience with audio and video hardware, software, and transmission systems (e.g., Riedel Artist, Yamaha, Dante, KiPro, Panasonic Cameras, Ross/Carbonite, Cisco Codecs, Videoconferencing Systems, Shure Audio, Unilumen LED Walls, Fiber Optic Systems, Encoder and Streaming Systems).
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills without constant oversight.
  • Proactive in gaining knowledge and learning.
  • Ability to follow instructions and SOPs to complete tasks.
  • Flexibility to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work hard in a challenging environment.

Pay Range
$100,000$105,000 USD
