Description:

C3EL is seeking a cleared professional to support our mission at Fort Sill in Oklahoma. The Audio Visual Engineer provides advanced engineering, integration, and lifecycle management support for Audio-Visual and Video Teleconferencing (AVL-VC) systems supporting the United States Army Fires Center of Excellence (FCoE). This role is responsible for system design validation, advanced troubleshooting, system optimization, and integration of AV systems within secure enterprise environments.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Engineer, configure, and optimize complex classroom and conference room AV systems.
  • Design and support integrated AV control systems and digital signal processing (DSP) configurations.
  • Perform advanced diagnostics and root-cause analysis of AV system failures.
  • Integrate AV systems with enterprise networks and communication systems.
  • Oversee installation and configuration of new AV components and system upgrades.
  • Support lifecycle replacement planning and technology refresh initiatives.
  • Ensure interoperability between AV systems, collaboration platforms, and network infrastructure.
  • Provide escalation support for complex AV issues beyond technician-level troubleshooting.
  • Maintain system documentation, diagrams, and configuration records.
  • Support executive-level and mission-critical event operations as required.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • An active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience with the design, development, implementation, installation, operations, and sustainment of AVL-VC systems for large and small facilities.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of verifiable Digital Sound Processor (DSP), digital projection, digital display, and control systems equipment installation and operations experience (must be supported by resume content).
  • Professional experience engineering and integrating enterprise AV systems.
  • Experience with digital signal processing (DSP), control systems, and large-format display systems.
  • Experience with digital projection and digital display systems installation and operations.
  • Experience integrating AV solutions within structured IT/network environments.
  • Ability to interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system design documentation.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural plans and schematic line drawings.
  • Experience troubleshooting advanced AV system issues in operational environments.
  • Must have the physical ability to walk, stand, kneel, squat, bend, lift, push, and perform other physical tasks associated with AVL-VC installation and sustainment.
  • Must be physically able and comfortable working at heights (catwalks, lifts, etc.), in dimly lit venues, and around restricted/tight spaces when necessary.
  • Ability to lift and transport moderately heavy equipment (up to 50 pounds).
  • Excellent visual acuity and hearing required.

 

Required Certifications:

  • Must meet required certification requirements associated with the designated labor category.
  • InfoComm CTS certification required; CTS-I or CTS-D preferred if applicable.
  • Must maintain required cybersecurity compliance credentials where applicable.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting large training or institutional environments.
  • Experience supporting DoD or federal facilities.
  • Experience with enterprise collaboration and VTC systems.
  • Experience designing AV systems for secure or classified environments.

 

Education:

  •  A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent is required. (BA/BS in a technology-related field desired but is not required.)
