Overview

Join our innovative team as an Audio Technology Engineer to prototype and evaluate cutting-edge audio technologies for development in consumer electronics such as headsets and smart glasses. You will conduct acoustic measurements and user studies, playing a critical role in enhancing audio quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product specifications and implement key audio features.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive audio and acoustical measurements, evaluating frequency response, distortion, and impedance across acoustical and electrical domains.
  • Develop and adhere to rigorous test procedures to ensure measurement repeatability and reproducibility.
  • Organize and maintain a state-of-the-art laboratory environment, ensuring all equipment and tools are operational and calibrated.
  • Conduct audio tests using ACQUA measurement and analysis tool.
  • Create, categorize, and validate result data using MATLAB or Python.
  • Collaborate with software, hardware integration, and user interaction teams to develop and validate new features.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in audio testing, particularly with headphones and smartphones.
  • Proficiency with audio lab tools, including Head Acoustics ACQUA, Audio Precision, and Soundcheck.
  • Hands-on experience with acoustic lab test stations
  • Intermediate proficiency in MATLAB and Python for scripting and data analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge or interest in hearing science and psychoacoustics to enhance the interpretation of testing results.
  • Experience with laser displacement meters such as Keyence and Polytec or Klippel tools.
  • Familiarity with optimizing audio and acoustic quality configurations
