Purpose of Role: This role supports both melting and casting activities within the department.

Key Responsibilities:
· Melt Deck Support: Co-ordinate consumables required on the melt decks, and ensure materials are collected from stores and delivered to the required melt deck.
· Ladle Bay Support: Co-ordinate consumables required in the ladle bay, and ensure materials are collected from stores and delivered to the required melt deck.
· Cast Bay Preparation: Move moulds to the designated cast bay and ensure they are ready for casting accoring to melting plan. Prepare ingots for pigging excess molten metal. Ensure all consumables and equipment is ready for use in the cast bay before casting.
· Casting Support: Provide support to the casting team with temperature measurement, sampling and other related activities.
· Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.


Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
· Matric (Grade 12); 6 to 12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Overhead Crane License and Forklift License advantages.
· Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively with the team.
