The Athletic Equipment Coordinator II (Assistant Equipment Manager) for the University of Louisville Athletic Department is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day equipment operations for assigned sport(s).
This position will be required to work a non-standard workweek, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as travel with the assigned sport(s) as needed.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the day-to-day equipment operations for assigned sport(s).
Maintain accurate records by using the computerized inventory and perform inventory checks as requested by the Director of Equipment Operations.
Supervise student managers.
Serve as liaison to Adidas for testing and evaluation of all Adidas product(s).
Assist with placing all vendor orders.
Assist with any recruiting-related functions.
Assist in oversight of assigned equipment room(s).
Oversee the packing of all travel and required gear for games.
Responsible for receiving, marking, fitting, and distributing uniforms and equipment for both coaches and student-athletes.
Responsible for the maintenance of uniforms and equipment, including but not limited to laundering, storing, and repairing.
Adherence to University, ULAA, ACC, and NCAA policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Equipment Operations or the Director of Equipment Operations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Work experience in an NCAA Division I athletic program with the following sports: Softball, Volleyball, Swimming and Diving, Track and Field/Cross Country, Field Hockey, Baseball, and Soccer.
AEMA certification upon hire or obtain within one year of hire.
Experience with an inventory management system (e.g., ACS, Helmet Tracker).
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
