As part of PwC’s Assurance team, External Audit plays a key role in enhancing confidence in financial information. You’ll work closely with clients across different industries, helping them ensure the accuracy of their financial statements and the effectiveness of their internal controls. In your day-to-day responsibilities, you will support various phases of audit engagements from planning and risk assessment to testing, documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities 
 

If you’re successful, you’ll undertake engagements locally and globally which could include a combination of but not limited to: 

  • Participate in planning, risk assessment, testing and completion phases of audit engagements. 

  • Assist in auditing financial statements and evaluating internal control frameworks. 

  • Analyse client data, identify risk areas and design audit procedures using professional scepticism. 

  • Document audit findings, prepare working papers and draft recommendations. 

  • Communicate with client personnel to collect information and resolve audit queries. 

  • Work collaboratively with senior associates, managers and partners on engagement deliverables. 

  • Uphold PwC’s professional standards, including independence, ethics and quality guidelines. 

  • Stay updated with local and global accounting, auditing and regulatory developments. 

  • Contribute to digital audit initiatives, including data analytics and automation tools. 

  • Support other assurance-related tasks as required. 

Experience and Qualifications 

  • Good A-Level (HSC) results. 

  • Final-year students on track to achieve, or graduates who have obtained, a minimum 2:1 classification (CPA of 60% if applicable). 

  • Part-qualified or currently pursuing a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CA, ACA) is an advantage.
