We're searching for a Treasury Relationship Associate responsible for supporting 2-3 Treasury Relationship Managers and their respective portfolios of Large- and Mid-Cap Japanese corporate clients. This support includes, but is not limited to, managing inbound client sales-related inquiries, overseeing product implementations, if required, and filling out pricing sheets and other support materials.
In addition, the associate is expected to keep the Relationship Managers, as well as other pertinent coverage partners, apprised of any key developments that occur with the portfolio or with individual clients when Relationship Manages are otherwise engaged or travelling.
Major Responsibilities:
90% Sales Support & Account Management
- Assist Treasury Relationship Manager with all business support as needed, including client pricing and document execution.
- Perform routine pipeline and sales tracking/analytics.
- Monitor and update company profiles to ensure adequate recordkeeping of bank relationships.
- Collaborate with internal constituents in Operations, Risk, Product, Compliance, and Risk as required to support Treasury Relationship Managers.
-Provide support on ad-hoc projects, as required.
10% Risk Management
- Follow and adhere to all bank Regulatory Compliance policies such as the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, Anti-Money Laundering Act, and others.
- Certify that all related risk-related forms such as Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and Currency and Transaction Reporting (CTR) are completed within assigned time periods.
- Complete all required corporate and business line Compliance Trainings on time.
- Know clients well enough to identify suspicious activity and escalate to the Treasury Relationship Manager and Risk staff quickly.
The right candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree
- 1+ years’ experience in sales and relationship management support, preferably at a MUFG peer cash management institution, either foreign or domestic.
- Familiarity with industry standard treasury management concepts and principles and the ability to bring thought-leadership to the role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Flexibility for local and regional travel to client appointments and internal offsites as required.
- Japanese language skills a plus but not required.
The typical base pay range for this role is between $90K - $118K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
