Position Summary

Therapeutic Area Specialists are defined as individuals who aim to promote the proper use and dissemination of prescription drugs by providing, collecting, and transmitting information on the quality, efficacy, and safety of these drugs to healthcare professionals through face-to-face interactions. Therefore, they are required to have a deep understanding of their company’s pharmaceuticals, convey the information needed by the medical field accurately and promptly, and correctly collect and transmit information on side effects. Additionally, since this is a critical role that impacts patients’ lives, THERAPEUTIC AREA SPECIALISTs are expected to demonstrate integrity and ethical behavior based on these principles. During the introductory training period, they acquire the necessary knowledge, skills, and ethics to perform THERAPEUTIC AREA SPECIALIST activities and aim to pass the THERAPEUTIC AREA SPECIALIST certification exam.

Key Responsibilities

Main Objective: To meet with healthcare professionals and representatives of authorized dealers to provide, collect, and transmit information that contributes to the proper use of our company’s products.

Achieve all training goals. Through presentation exercises and role-playing, provide appropriate information with a sense of ethics. Conduct effective role-playing based on the product strategy (POA) and tailored to the needs of the counterpart.

Qualifications & Experience

Knowledge: Willingness to acquire knowledge about our company’s products and related disease knowledge. Willingness to learn about pharmaceutical regulations, distribution, and related laws.

Skills: Communication skills to convey intentions appropriately to others. Self-management skills to promote self-directed learning.

Experience: Knowledge in the fields of pharmacy or life sciences is desirable.

・すべての研修目標を達成する。
・プレゼンテーション演習やロールプレイを通じて、倫理観を持って適切な情報を提供する。
・製品戦略(POA)と相手のニーズに合わせた効果的なロールプレイを実施する。

On-site Protocol

BMS has an occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. This structure includes site-essential, site-by-design, field-based and remote-by-design jobs. The occupancy type that you are assigned is determined by the nature and responsibilities of your role:

Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility.
