The Opportunity
This position works out of our Irving, TX location in the Transfusion Medicine, Diagnostics Division. We’re empowering smarter medical and economic decision-making to help transform the way people manage their health at all stages of life. Every day, more than 10 million tests are run on Abbott’s diagnostics instruments, providing lab results for millions of people.
The Associate Technician IV provides advanced technical support to manufacturing operations by performing a combination of complex duties involving the setup, calibration, validation, and operation of production equipment, along with the application of quantitative methods, in support of high‑quality diagnostic instrument and reagent production.
What You’ll Work On
Create, maintain, and procure equipment, tools, and manufacturing aids specific to the functional area, including submitting IMT equipment for calibration.
Perform equipment validations.
Collaborate closely with engineers to support and execute product design.
Manage inventory levels of production consumables.
Support troubleshooting of instrument functional errors.
Manage the de‑kitting process.
Apply statistical, mathematical, and other quantitative and qualitative methods and measurements.
Required Qualifications
Associate’s degree
2 years of relevant experience
Advanced skills in computer hardware and software applications (e.g., eDHR/CAMSTAR configuration, Botron, Maximo, etc.)
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or another technical field

The base pay for this position is
$26.50 – $53.00/hourIn specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
