The Associate Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration, management and health of all endpoint devices (both hardware and software) and enterprise information systems, providing Tier 3 technical support, and assuming additional operational work when available. The incumbent in this role, as an associate position within the IT Desktop team, is accountable for assigned systems and processes critical to the successful operation of enterprise IT, as well as guiding less experienced team members with their domain knowledge.
Administers, manages and maintains enterprise monitoring tools, such as SolarWinds Orion, including the evaluation, creation and update of monitors and alerts, as well as responding to all alerts and notifications
Administers and maintains the Endpoint Management tool such as Ivanti, or other UEM tools
Acts as subject-matter expert (SME) escalation contact to diagnose and repair error conditions in the environment
Diagnoses and resolves complex issues with technical assistance from vendors, stakeholders, and technical IT management
Implements, installs, configures, monitors, troubleshoots and evaluates existing and new software installation and distribution processes
Familiar with golden image creation, patching, and updated Microsoft & MacOS operating systems
Maintains, deploys, and updates internally developed applications by both manual and automated means
Prioritizes incidents and requests to facilitate quick resolutions and minimal disruption of business operations
Ensures uptime, performance, resource availability and security of the endpoints managed within established budgets and operational guidelines Documents work performed and communicates with stakeholders
Creates and maintains standard operating procedures and knowledge bases Performs other duties as assigned and modified at manager’s discretion
Expert understanding of Windows or MacOS Operating Systems, both is a plus
Keen Investigative instincts and attention to detail
In-depth knowledge of a cloud-based enterprise communications platform such as Office365 or Google Workspaces
Active Directory and Group Policy Management
Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical skills
Advanced knowledge of and ability to service computer hardware, both client and server
Advanced understanding of networking as it pertains to systems integration, connectivity and configuration
Understanding of client/server and web applications
Possess the ability and willingness to quickly adjust priorities as business needs shift
High level of conceptualization, analytical, logic, and reasoning skills
Expertise skills in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, plus a variety of other word-processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail and presentation software
Ability and willingness to travel locally, regionally and nationwide up to 10% of the time
Spoken and written fluency in English
This job requires use and exercise of independent judgment
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA:
A minimum of 3 years’ experience providing technical support in a corporate environment required
At least 1 professional level certification (MCSA, LFCS, etc.) or higher preferred
Experience using a service desk platform (ITSM or trouble ticket system)
PAY RANGE:
$64,583 - $92,262 SalaryThe posted pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for this position. Final compensation will depend on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, education, geographic location, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for a bonuses or commissions.
