Associate Strategy Manager - Kroger

As an Associate Strategy Manager, you are expected to manage customer-focused initiatives from identification to implementation and present results both internally and externally. As a skilled data and business analytics expert, this role requires being a strategy guru, natural dot connector, changemaker, and paradox navigator; constantly using data, digital tools and technology to identify and present key insights and opportunities, mining big datasets with proficiency to unlock revenue generation, cost savings, and efficiencies. The key competencies and elements of success to perform in the role include:

  • You’re a strategy guru: You are a data expert and can conduct thorough analysis of a customer’s supply chain and/or initiatives using process mapping and other techniques. After completing analysis, you should be able to strategize and recommend actions required to implement improvements internally and externally.

  • You’re a dot connector: Business acumen is a superpower and you can see the “big picture” in analyzing and/or solving complex and sometimes focused issues so that modifications could allow Unilever to leverage initiatives with other customers.

  • You’re a changemaker: You have mastered working with white space and can identify new techniques and data to gain new customer or channel insights. Overcoming the reluctance of the customer to share pertinent data for improvements. Data is your passion; you thrive in driving change and quantifying tangible results and improvements.

  • You’re a paradox navigator: Evaluating trade-off between time, cost and service to satisfy both Unilever and its customers. You should be an expert on your Customer and Unilever to navigate continual change via customer initiatives that could counterbalance Unilever SC directives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Customer Data and Advanced Business Analytics team expert

  • Bravely challenge the status quo of the business, gain customer intimacy, and positively work with stakeholders to implement change

  • Forge positive relationships with Sales and Supply Chain Planning, and external customer teams (Kroger)

  • Create a reputation for excellence, customer obsession and purposeful passion

  • Independently lead Data integration projects and strategic collaborative customer initiatives across the integrated supply chains to improve Unilever performance as measured by the customer, drive revenue generation, forecast improvement and cost savings

  • Use report and role automation techniques to unlock human potential and drive improved execution for Unilever

  • Coach, mentor and develop the talent within our team

Skills You’ll Need to Succeed

  • 6+ years of supply chain experience: operations, S&OP, modelling, planning, replenishment, etc.

  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills are a must, Experience with Power BI, SAS or any other ETL/data visualization processes

  • Strong leadership skills, communication, and collaboration abilities

  • Comfortable with finding insights from data and making them meaningful to all levels of employees. Storytelling and presentation skills are required.

  • Able to influence and lead a project effectively

  • Digital experience: statistical modelling, consulting, or report automation. DataBricks, R Programming, Python, SQL or any other technical programming language a plus.

Pay: The pay range for this position is $88,600 to $133,000. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.  

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.  

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
