Associate Specialist Purchasing & Planning

Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam Full time

Follow up buy plans with Planning, capacity communicate with vendors and Sourcing. Maintain schedules with vendors and updating related systems( CSE, Oracle). Analysis and reporting schedule status, include new project status follow up. Shipping Documents follow up.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:

  • New project ramp execution by following the designed project fulfillment plan by Purchasing Manager.
  • Enter Purchase orders in Oracle
  • Daily review and updating of delivery schedules within CSE system.
  • Ensure Oracle and CSE PO data aligns
  • Update actual shipment date for US shipment in Oracle, close and release invoice for drop shipments
  • Creation of excel based reports and do necessary analysist to summarize project/order status
  • Follow up cases requested by customers.
  • Shipping documents follow up with suppliers.
  • Manage vendor capacity with reaction to guide vendor meet business goal.
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, in writing and oral.
  • Good analytical skills; with the ability to look at numbers and draw conclusions about actions to be taken.
  • Computer literate, with good working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications (strong Excel reporting creation) and email.   (Understanding of Business Objects/ Access programs a plus)
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to attend to multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Commitment to meeting absolute deadlines.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Interpersonal skills suited to dealing courteously and professionally with external business contacts and many internal contacts within the TM organization.
  • In summary, requires knowledge of the field of assignment sufficient to perform thoroughly and accurately the full scope of responsibilities as illustrated above.

Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications:

  • Relevant degree in business or a related field.
  • Equivalent of at least two years of prior experience in a related buying role.
  • Experience with manufacturing purchasing.
  • Any combination of education, experience and training that has provided the level of skills, knowledge and abilities required.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:

  • Normal office conditions with extensive computer and phone usage.
  • Ability to work extended hours as necessary.
  • Able to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption.
  • Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.
  • Frequent travel may be required.
