Associate Software Engineer, Intern

Overview:

Precisely’s Summer Internship Program is a paid opportunity for undergraduate students actively enrolled in university. The program that begins July 1st and concludes September 30th. The Associate Software Engineer Intern will work closely with the R&D team.

What you will do:

• ​Assist in performing development tasks under the guidance of more experienced team members 
• ​Contribute to the design and implementation of product features, collaborating with the team to ensure high-quality results 
• ​Identify and help resolve issues and problems throughout the development cycle, learning from your colleagues and sharing your insights 
• ​Participate in our Agile SCRUM methodology with 2-week sprints, attending sprint reviews and retrospectives to continuously improve the team's processes 
• ​Collaborate with an international UX team and Product Management to create seamless and user-friendly solutions 
• ​Use English in daily communication, enhancing your professional language skills while working with a diverse, global team 

What we are looking for:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or currently enrolled in an accredited college or university program pursuing a relevant major. 
• Basic understanding of software development principles and familiarity with at least one programming language (Python, Java, C++, or .NET) 
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including excellent critical thinking and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. 
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong proficiency in English. 
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools, such as AWS, Angular, and Git. 
• Ability to work 40 hours per week, on-site at the Bielsko-Biała office.

Preferred requirements:

• Prior experience or internships in software development, web development, or a related field. 
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and serverless technology, such as AWS 
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks, such as Angular. 
• Experience with Agile methodologies, such as SCRUM or Kanban, and using project management tools like Jira or Trello. 
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git, and collaboration tools like GitHub or GitLab. 
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes. 
• Basic understanding of UI/UX design principles and best practices. 
• Proficiency in additional languages, enhancing your ability to communicate with international team members and clients.
