Job Title: Associate Software Engineer, AI
Location: Bangalore
Reports to: Sr. Manager, AI/ML
A quick snapshot…
As an Associate Software Engineer, you’ll be working on developing robust solutions across next-generation AI/GenAI based products and solutions. As a critical member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our design, development, and continued enhancement of our features along with writing unit & integration tests to ensure features never break.
Why it’s a big deal…
This is one of the critical roles under the AI team within Engineering. You will possess deep technical expertise as a AI engineer and a strong commitment to participate in the entire AI development lifecycle, including data collection, preprocessing, model training, evaluation, and deployment. This role works on multiple technologies and databases to make sure the product development moves towards rapid development, rich controls, more scalable, and better security.
Are you the person we’re looking for?
Related Experience. You should have at least 6 Months of experience in the software industry as a AI Engineer and the technical requirements necessary to design, develop, test and implement solutions.
Technical Skills. You’re likely to have proficiency in AI development technologies such as Python, FastAPI, PyTest, Celery and other Python frameworks and familiarity with AI/ML, GenAI, and MLOps concepts. You also possess good understanding with object-oriented programming, concurrency, design patterns, and REST APIs. Your familiarity with CI/CD tooling such as Terraform and GitHub Actions and frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, and databases like SQL and NoSQL such as MongoDB, MSSQL, or Postgres. Understanding of Data Structure & Algorithm analysis and its usage in scalable software design.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. You’re not just comfortable engaging in collaborative discussions, but initiating them, too. You are skilled at reading and adapting to different communication styles. When you speak you are clear and concise. Your strong listening skills foster connections with our clients and allow you to accurately collect the right information so you can resolve issues most expediently.
Education. A bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.

You’re not only proactive about completing your work, but when you sense the need to introduce a project that will benefit the team or the organization -- even if it’s outside your scope of work -- you put a proposal together, talk to the team about it, and own it. And that also goes back to having an entrepreneurial spirit.
Strong troubleshooting skills and logic based thinking is your forte. This is an absolute must. Your proven ability to analyze and apply logical thinking to determine the root cause of an issue is fundamental to success in this role.
Clear, deliberate, and collaborative communicator. You don’t just engage in collaborative discussions, you initiate them regularly. You are clear and concise when you speak and write -- and even creative in terms of ensuring your messages are received and understood. You leave no room for assumptions or misunderstanding. It’s what sets you apart from the rest.
Exposure to mature SDLC practices. Understanding of Agile methodologies. Experience with unit testing, code coverage, and security scan tools. Proficient in working with source control tools like GitHub/Bitbucket.
