About the role

The Associate SRE ensures high availability and minimal disruption across our business‑critical systems by proactively managing system health through monitoring, automation, and rapid issue resolution. You’ll help standardise observability, streamline deployments, and drive a “configuration as code” approach while working closely with our Site Reliability Engineering Lead and Technology Feature Team to boost workflow efficiency. Bring your problem‑solving skills, sharp thinking, and fast execution - in return, we’ll provide a culture of intellectual honesty, continuous learning, and the tools you need to excel.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Reduce operational toil by applying automation and core SRE practices.

  • Investigate incidents and work orders, providing daily support to our internal customers.

  • Document major incident investigations and contribute to thoughtful post‑incident reviews.

  • Build and improve SLIs, SLOs, dashboards, and alerting to reduce MTTR.

  • Implement automated remediation to help prevent repeat issues and enhance reliability.

  • Run disaster recovery exercises to ensure we can respond confidently to major failures.

  • Support continuous delivery practices and participate in an on‑call roster (with Time in Lieu available for any after‑hours work).

What You’ll Bring

  • A tertiary qualification in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent foundational knowledge.

  • Understanding of Azure cloud services and interest in DevOps and CI/CD practices.

  • Experience using any monitoring tools or a willingness to learn observability practices.

  • Foundational understanding of Infrastructure‑as‑Code, ideally with Terraform.

  • Curiosity for new technologies and how they can support meaningful business outcomes.

We’d love to see your applications by Monday 2nd February 2026.
