Role Responsibilities
As a key member of Western Union’s Payment Operations team, this role is responsible for executing accurate, valid, and timely refund and settlement transactions. It supports customers through issue resolution activities, ensures high standards of service quality, and maintains proper supporting documentation for all processed items. Additionally, the role contributes to operational excellence by performing daily reconciliation, resolving exceptions and discrepancies, and providing research and root cause analysis to strengthen end-to-end settlement processes.
Execute daily and monthly settlement operations, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant processing of refund, reconciliation, and settlement transactions.
Deliver exception handling and discrepancy remediation, including research, root cause analysis, and recommendations to strengthen operational controls.
Maintain complete and valid supporting documentation for all processed transactions to ensure audit readiness and adherence to internal policies.
Provide customer support for issue-resolution cases, ensuring clear communication, follow-up, and high service-quality standards.
Participate in process improvement initiatives, contributing ideas and feedback to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer experience across operational workflows.
Role Requirements
High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Administration, Business, Finance, Computer Science, Communications, or a related field preferred.
Knowledge of office administration, customer service, accounting, or equivalent operational experience is desired.
Ability to manage high-volume transactional processes with accuracy, strong attention to detail
Proficiency in standard MS Office tools (intermediate Excel preferred).
Strong communication skills, willingness to learn, and adaptability in a dynamic operational environment.
Work Shift
Monday to Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST. May be adjusted at the discretion of the company.
