Associate Sales Executive

The Associate Sales Executive is primarily focused on leading the renewal for existing accounts during renewal window. In some instances leading upsell sales motions within and outside the renewal window. Covers lower complex deals which cannot be delivered digitally. In some instances handles escalations from Digital Chat Assist (DCA) related to renewals. Coverage is through virtual channels, with no travel. Possesses core knowledge of products/markets within subsegment.

Location: Hybrid position, would need to go to one of our hub locations 3 days a week.

About the Role:

In this opportunity as a Associate Sales Executive, you will:

  • Closes renewals and upsell opportunities for an assigned geography and/ or for leads assigned
  • Identifies the best virtual channel for engagement with customers (including phone)
  • Validates customer needs, shapes product plans and drives deals to close
  • Supports in developing and executing territory growth strategies
  • Possesses core knowledge across products within the subsegment, and engages Sales Specialists where deep product expertise is required to drive to close
  • Understands specific customer archetypes and needs which are most prevalent within the subsegment and territory
  • In some instances handles all escalations from Digital chat Assist 
  • Focuses on driving retention and achieving renewal targets by engaging existing customers during the renewal window (and in some instances outside of window)
  •  Leverages automated and insight-driven Salesforce workflow to progress deals
  • KPIs include-Nurturing opportunities and moving more renewals outside the ‘digital first’ selling scenarios to close for: Existing ‘non-named’ account renewals and Existing ‘non-named’ incremental sales (upsell)

About You:

You're a fit for the role of Associate Sales Executive if you have:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of sales, account management, or customer success experience, ideally in: B2B sales, SaaS/subscription-based businesses legal, government, or professional services markets
  • Well-developed sales process and negotiation aptitude
  • A demonstrated ability to drive high customer contact volume
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • High degree of professionalism, customer centricity, and flexibility

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The target total cash compensation range varies across locations. Eligible office location(s) for this role include one or more of the following: New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and/or Irvine, CA; McLean, VA; Washington, DC. The target total cash compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $90,300 USD - $167,700 USD. For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the target total cash compensation range for this role is $78,400 USD - $145,600 USD. Pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay and any target sales incentive are part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs. This is inclusive of both base pay and any target sales incentive.
