About the role

If you’re passionate about helping others and are known for your excellent communication and people skills, we may be a good fit! As a Sales and Customer Service Agent, you’ll become a trusted advisor in helping Canadians protect the things they care about.

Your schedule:

During training, meaning the few months, your schedule will be 35 hours/week:

  • Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the first two months; and

  • Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. 7 p.m. for the last month.

After training, you will work an evening schedule of 40 hours/week:

  • Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., plus every fourth Saturday in rotation. 

  • As a bonus, you will receive a premium for all your evening shifts.

Location:

At belairdirect, you will enjoy a hybrid work model that allows you to balance your professional and personal life. This position is based at our Laval office (600 Rue Lucien-Paiement).

Please note that the starting date for this position is February 11, 2026.

What you’ll do here:

  • Play a key role in providing customers with the best possible insurance coverage for their most valuable assets by advising them throughout the process and answering their questions about our products so they can make informed choices.

  • Analyze customer needs, promote products and services, and propose innovative choices and solutions.

  • Help home and auto insurance customers choose from the various insurance solutions offered.

  • Contribute to the development of new initiatives and support their implementation.

What you bring to the table:

  • At least one year of experience in a similar position.

  • Strong team spirit, ability to work both independently and in collaboration with colleagues on various projects.

  • Excellent communication and listening skills, ability to empathize with others.

  • You must speak French - Requires answering calls and providing service to a French-speaking clientele on a regular basis

  • Customer-driven approach and an eagerness to put your listening and advising skills to good use with customers.

  • Ability to multi-task and stay cool under pressure.

  • Strong computer skills and the ability to work on multiple systems simultaneously.

  • Willingness to complete the provincial exam to obtain your insurance licence.

  • No Canadian work experience is required, but you must be eligible to work in Canada.

  • Please note that this is an inbound call centre position and we are looking for candidates who are willing to work evenings, Saturdays and occasional statutory holidays.

In Quebec, our agents must obtain their licence from the AMF. To be considered for our training program, you must meet one of the following requirements: 

  • You have obtained a college diploma, a bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree; OR

  • You have obtained an AEC diploma in P&C insurance; OR

  • You have a high school or vocational school diploma AND three years of full-time work experience in Canada.

  • If your diplomas were obtained outside of Canada, you must have an equivalency for these diplomas.
