Job Description

The Associate Reporting Compliance Analyst plays a crucial role within the Academic Standards and Policies/Office of the Registrar department, focusing on the accuracy and compliance of student enrollment reporting and works with our external reporting partners to submit, correct, and maintain student enrollment records and degree information. The associate analyst works to evaluate the enrollment information for WGU students to ensure that the data required by external regulators is completed accurately and properly reflects each student's academic history. This position also involves running checks and reports to identify incorrect enrollment information, making necessary corrections, supporting audit requests, and verifying and submitting institutional enrollment data.

 

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities
Verify the accuracy and completeness of institutional enrollment data.
Submit enrollment data to the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC), and National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) in accordance with established deadlines and guidelines.
Maintain detailed records of all submission history and related communications.
Adheres to policies and procedures to ensure compliance with external laws and regulations.
Stay informed about industry best practices and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance.
Conduct thorough checks and analysis to identify incorrect or inconsistent enrollment information.
Ensures accuracy and alignment between WGU enrollment data, the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC), and National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS).
Investigates and corrects any reports of systemic issues and evaluates processes to avoid recurrence.
Maintains the integrity and privacy of student information to keep WGU in compliance with all applicable laws and standards.
Creates and maintains reports of potential student issues and ensures their data is corrected within the systems of our reporting partners.
Ensure that any corrections are accurately documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
Promptly address and resolve student inquiries regarding issues with their enrollment reporting, while maintaining clear communication.
Works with internal stakeholders to obtain, compile, and maintain data required to complete external reports.
Address third-party auditor inquiries and follow up on audit findings to ensure compliance.
Develop and refine processes to minimize errors and improve data integrity.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Strong familiarity with spreadsheet analysis and creation
Technological competence with MS Office Suite and Salesforce.
Sensitivity to and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Significant organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple competing projects and deadlines.
Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Education
Bachelors Degree
Experience
2 years of experience in data analysis, compliance, or a related role.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex data issues.

This position requires occasional travel of up to 20%, including required attendance at designated company summits (typically one to two per year). Additional travel may include conferences, visits to company locations, and other business-related events as needed. Additional travel may be assigned as needed to support business requirements.
