Associate Relations Manager

Purpose

This position is responsible for independently investigating matters relating to various Floor & Decor employment policies.  Success in this role will require working effectively with various business partners to ensure that matters are investigated appropriately in a timely manner. 

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5 or more years of experience in conducting HR investigations regarding workplace and employment matters.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to receive and manage confidential/sensitive information with the highest level of integrity.
  • Experience summarizing and documenting investigations findings and recommendations.
  • Self-starter, problem solver and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and prioritization.
  • Keen sense of organization, with the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience testifying at depositions or employment hearings is a plus.

Essential Job Functions

  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment to complete end-to-end investigations of HR related concerns of various complexity.
  • Determine case-specific investigative plan and execute plan in timely fashion.
  • Conduct witness interviews virtually and in person and make witness credibility determinations when appropriate.  
  • Write investigative reports to document facts gathered and conclusions made.
  • Align with business partners on appropriate remedial actions.
  • Maintain appropriate confidentiality of investigations.
  • Simultaneously manage multiple investigations and determine priority order.
  • Foster trust and constructive dialogue with all participants in the investigation process.
  • Analyze associate and investigations data, spot trends, and suggest process improvements.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Legal, HR, and business leaders regarding interpretation of F&D policies and process improvements.
  • Apply company values and sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices.
  • Testify regarding investigation(s) as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions (travel, environment)

  • Per current F&D Policy, in-office work Monday through Thursday at the Floor & Decor Store Support Center in Atlanta, Georgia 30339, with optional remote work on Fridays. 
  • Occasional-to-frequent travel required including air and car travel.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles.  The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate/noisy.

Physical/Sensory Requirements

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
