Job Description

The Associate Quality Analyst position consists of evaluating and testing new or existing software applications. Responsibilities include writing, executing, maintaining and evaluating manual software development test cases used to verify software application functions according to user requirements and conform to established guidelines. This associate is responsible for making independent decisions on matters significant to the company. This work is performed with general supervision and direction.

Responsibilities

  • Understand Company software applications.
  • Read, analyze and interpret business requirements.
  • Analyze and write test plans.
  • Document test results.
  • Create and update manual test cases.
  • Manual testing of software applications.
  • Review test results and report in a defect tracking tool.
  • Create, update and design data for use with automated test scripts.
  • Coordinate the testing phase of projects involving manual test cases.
  • Mentor and train associates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (This requirement may be waived by prior education and experience at company discretion.)
  • Proficient with Quality Assurance principles and tools.
  • The ability to work with detail, analyze information, learn and effectively use acquired or adopted software tools.
  • Capable of producing adequate quality and quantity of work.
  • The ability to organize data, make independent decisions, communicate clearly and carry out complex instructions both oral and written.
  • Meets established schedules and deadlines in an organized manner.
  • The ability to work outside normal business hours.
