OVERVIEW:

This Associate Program Manager supports the execution and continuous improvement of early career and leadership development programs by managing day‑to‑day operations, coaching facilitators, and ensuring seamless program delivery. It partners closely with the Manager of Learning for Early Career Programs, business leaders, and Subject Matter Experts to enhance learning experiences, strengthen participant engagement, and drive measurable development outcomes. Through strong coordination, facilitation support, and agile program management, this role helps deliver high‑quality development programs that align with business needs and company standards.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Program Management

  • Partner with the Program Manager and business leaders to guide participants through early career development programs and leadership development.

  • Manage day-to-day program operations, including people, logistics, and materials.

  • Teach, coach, and mentor training resources (Subject Matter Experts) who deliver on-the-job components, equipping them with the tools and knowledge needed for success.

  • Provide coaching and guidance to all content delivery resources, both within and beyond the direct team.

  • Champion program success by promoting engagement and ensuring seamless execution.

  • Partner with the program manager to support participants and facilitators as needed to reinforce learning and enhance the overall effectiveness of the training experience.

  • Track progress against project plans, proactively flag risks or blockers, and partner with program managers to drive timely resolution.

  • Apply Agile principles to manage work efficiently and proactively, including use of sprints, retrospectives, and iterative feedback loops to continuously improve program delivery.

  • Support process documentation and optimization efforts to ensure programs are executed efficiently, consistently, and in alignment with established standards and best practices.

Program Results & Updates

  • Analyze program evaluations, learner feedback, and business results to assess learning effectiveness; communicate insights and recommend adjustments to enhance impact and performance.

  • Partners across teams to design and deliver learning solutions that enable teammates to meet business needs while maintaining alignment with company standards, policies, and procedures.

  • Support program reporting and storytelling by preparing data summaries, visuals, and presentation materials for leadership updates.

  • Support innovation in program design by researching best practices in learning and development and recommending creative improvements.

  • Use program feedback and performance data to identify knowledge gaps and assist in designing targeted learning experiences to close those gaps. (formerly “Recommend and implement solutions to close performance gaps and drive measurable business results”.

Coordinate/Maintain Program Activities

  • Pair mentors with program participants and match certifiers with teammates pursuing certification.

  • Schedule instructor-led (ILT) and virtual instructor-led (vILT) sessions, ensuring accurate participant enrollment and logistics.

  • Prepare and produce materials to support training sessions and program facilitation.

  • Maintain learning platforms and program sites (e.g., SharePoint and Workday), ensuring content accuracy, accessibility, and effective design.

  • Support the execution of critical program tasks and timelines, ensuring milestones are met and deliverables are completed with accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Assist in the implementation and tracking of participant assessments, surveys, and program milestones.

  • Plan and support events and experiences designed to strengthen program culture, enhance teammate engagement, and build a sense of community across cohorts.

Facilitation/Instruction

  • Partner with the Program Manager to run virtual and in-office instructor led training (ILT) courses associated with the programs

  • Coordinate subject matter experts for content delivery

  • Assist with professional development training for CSC and store teammates, as needed

  • Leverage available technology to facilitate training, host events and connect with program participants

Training Development and Design

  • Partner with Learning Experience Designer(s) to design/update training and prepare for SME Meetings

  • Partner with Program Manager to prepare for Business Sponsor and Stakeholder meetings and communications

  • Co-facilitate program meetings with Program Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Education or related field

  • 3-5 years of total experience, where 2–4 years of experience should be in learning and development, program coordination, or a related field; experience supporting large-scale learning initiatives or early career programs is preferred.

  • Facilitation Skills: Proven ability to deliver engaging instructor-led and virtual training sessions.

  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills with experience managing multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously.

  • Collaboration: Demonstrated success building relationships and partnering effectively across teams and levels within an organization.

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to assess learning effectiveness, interpret data, and use insights to drive program improvements.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and engage diverse audiences.
