Job Summary:
As an Associate Program Manager, you will provide budget analysis, capacity planning, failure resolution and coordination of activities between cross functional departments and personnel to achieve fiscal goals, margin expansion, and revenue growth.  Under the supervision of a Program Manager, you will manage programs ranging from $0.5M to $3M in contract value with initial program management portfolio expected to exceed $5M of revenue yearly.  Through guidance, mentorship and training, an Associate Program Manager is expected to gain the prerequisite skills and qualifications necessary for Program Manager within 2-3 years. 
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support effective program/project management on those programs/projects which are: entering production, restarting production, ramping production and/or experiencing technical issues during production.
  • Assist with daily updates on key programs to ensure the successful completion of all milestones and customer deliverables per contractual requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross functional departments to foster key relationships required to efficiently manage any assigned programs.
  • Work with Program Managers to identify, cultivate, and grow new business within key accounts on targeted programs capable of delivering acceptable financial returns; ensuring key expectations/deliverables are clearly defined for those involved as the project progresses.
  • Review with Program Managers to ensure program, finance, and contractual compliance activities are overseen in effective, efficient, and appropriate manners aligned with the complexity, risk, and requirements of an opportunity.
     

Requirements:

  • Position requires 1 – 3 years of direct, technical experience supporting manufacturing operations for military or aerospace end use.
  • Ability to draft reports and correspondences.
  •  Ability to prepare and effectively present information and respond to questions before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret various business documents, technical procedures, and government regulations.    
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a general knowledge of Microsoft Office (includes Word, PowerPoint, Excel and especially MS Project OneNote) and general knowledge of an ERP/MRP Software.

   

Preferred Qualifications

A Bachelor of Science in the Mechanical, Electrical or Physics disciplines, or equivalent are highly desirable. 

Candidates with a PMI PMP Certification are highly desirable.

Additional Qualifications

US Citizenship with ability to attain/maintain government security clearance at a Secret level or higher required

       

  

Salary Range:

$77,000.00-$102,600.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
