Associate Producer

Summary 
We are seeking an Associate Producer to support the game leadership team on a large-scale, AAA open-world video game. This role will work closely with leaders across design, art, engineering, audio, and production to help keep the project organized, aligned, and moving forward. The Associate Producer will play a key role in supporting planning, team communication, and execution across a highly collaborative, cross-disciplinary development team. 

Core Responsibilities 

  • Support the game leadership team by assisting with production needs across all development disciplines 
  • Track tasks, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure clear visibility into project status 
  • Maintain schedules, backlogs, and documentation using studio production tools 
  • Prepare agendas, notes, and action items for leadership, sprint, and cross-functional meetings and playtests 
  • Help identify risks, blockers, and resourcing needs, escalating issues in a timely manner 
  • Coordinate communication across departments to ensure alignment on priorities, goals, and expectations 
  • Support planning and review cycles, including milestone preparation and internal presentations 
  • Assist with build tracking, submissions, and other production logistics 
  • Help uphold and improve production processes, documentation standards, and team workflows 
  • Provide general production support as needed to enable leadership to focus on creative and technical execution 

Core Qualifications 

  • 3-5 years of experience in production, project coordination, or a related role, preferably in AAA games or interactive entertainment 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with excellent attention to detail 
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills 
  • Understanding of modern game development pipelines and production methodologies 
  • Experience working with project tracking tools such as Jira, Confluence, ShotGrid, or similar 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving development environment 
  • A collaborative, proactive approach and a strong sense of ownership 

Plus If... 

  • Experience working on large-scale or open-world game projects 
  • Experience supporting senior leadership or multi-disciplinary teams 
  • Familiarity with Unreal Engine or other AAA game engines 
  • Interest in growing a long-term career in game production

  • Office is located near downtown San Rafael – near transit stations and freeways.     

The base pay range for this position is $90,000 to $110,000 per year. Actual compensation is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
