About the role
This is a new position dedicated to the daily support of all procurement activities within our Global Source-to-Contract (S2C) Excellence team. You will manage strategic relationships with Business Stakeholders, Procurement Category Teams, and in-market Procurement Managers, and lead complex, high-value Source to Contract projects—including preparing and running sourcing events and negotiating/renegotiating contract clauses. Operating in line with the Alexion Procurement Operating Model, you will also drive extensive contracting activities to ensure seamless execution.
Typical Accountabilities
You will be responsible for supporting Global Category teams and in-market Procurement throughout the Source to Contract process, including:
Market research & insight: Supporting market research activities by issuing RFI to build strong supplier and market understanding.
Sourcing project management: Managing sourcing projects end-to-end, including issuance of RFPs and RFQs, supplier engagement, and governance.
eSourcing delivery: Conducting e-auctions to drive competitive outcomes and transparency.
Evaluation & recommendations: Analyzing received proposals, preparing clear summary reports, and making recommendations for supplier selection.
Category strategy support: Partnering with Global Category Leaders to develop sourcing strategies that deliver category targets and savings targets.
Process excellence: Driving simplification and standardization of sourcing processes to improve speed, quality, and compliance.
Stakeholder partnership: Enhancing relationships with Category Managers, Procurement Managers, and business stakeholders across the matrix organization.
Policy & tools compliance: Ensuring adherence to company procurement policies and improving the usage of procurement tools.
Contracting leadership: Managing contract renewals and new contract creation, including negotiations/renegotiations of T&Cs and contract clauses.
Contract administration: Overseeing end-to-end administration—gathering signatures and ensuring proper contract storage in the system.
Continuous improvement: Actively participating in S2C process improvement and optimization (process steps, internal ways of working, legal support model, documents and templates, etc.).
Global collaboration: Demonstrating high standards of cooperation with business stakeholders and building strong relationships across the globe in a matrix environment.
Essential Requirements
University degree required.
At least 4 years of work experience in a procurement department or supply chain function (preferably within a mature procurement organization).
Experience managing stakeholders across the globe within a matrix organization.
Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
A proactive “can-do” attitude.
Microsoft Office literacy.
Skills
Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to present information clearly and concisely to all levels, including senior stakeholders.
Proficiency in Japanese is an added advantage.

Experience with end-to-end Source to Contract (E2E S2C) process.
Knowledge and effective use of negotiation techniques and tools (eSourcing solutions).
Extensive experience negotiating commercial terms and contract clauses.
