Position Overview:

The Associate Banker will support a team of bankers in managing client relationships and meeting annual commitment goals by assisting with workflow, deal execution, and portfolio management. This role includes preparing client reviews, coordinating lending, deposit, and investment solutions, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

What you’ll do:

  • Join bankers on preliminary calls and initial client meetings

  • Collect updated financial documentation from clients

  • Coordinate execution/delivery of loan documents between clients and Wintrust

  • Oversee underwriting process and new credit requests

  • Attend financial planning and portfolio review meetings

  • Manage onboarding process between new clients and servicing team

  • Record meeting minutes and follow-up actions

  • Maintain comprehensive call logs and Salesforce entries

  • Work alongside loan closers and credit analysts on documentation regarding financial reporting, covenants, and loan exceptions

  • Spearhead organization of networking events including mixers and happy hours between COIs, clients, and internal partners

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. 

  • 1-5 years of experience in banking or financial services, including 1-2 years of lending or underwriting experience

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to work within deadlines and prioritize projects.

  • A self-motivated employee and an effective team player.

  • Must have a client-centric mindset, attention to detail, collaboration, discretion and initiative.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this role is $71,000. - $92,000., along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.
