Role Summary

Troubleshoot and optimize live 4G/5G telecommunication networks. Address issues such as call setup failure, call drop, voice quality, and low data speed. Discussions about requirements, field trial planning, and performance reporting with customers. Evaluate lab and field-reported issues and assign them to respective team members. Collaborate with the System Test, System Engineering, and Operations teams to develop test cases, improve algorithms, address current issues, and plan future releases. Assess Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of network performance and implement new ones based on customer requirements. Prepare and present performance reports and create improvement plans with clear timelines. Perform drive test analysis for any new software deployment. Based on findings from the drive test report, make recommendations for software improvements to the research and development team, along with provide inputs about the physical optimization of network sites.

Job Requirements

Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electronics Engineering or a directly related field plus four (4) years of experience in wireless product development in 4G LTE/5G NR or other Wireless protocol stack development. Experience must include:

Two (2) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

  • L2 Scheduler/MAC/RLC.
  • Software development and coding practices in C/ C++ in a Linux environment.
  • Mobile networks, especially on 3GPP NR standards in RAN.
  • Debugging tools (gdb), configuration management tools (Git) and test tool (TM500, QXDM, QCAT, etc).

Will accept a Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering or a directly related field plus two (2) years of experience in wireless product development in 4G LTE/5G NR or other Wireless protocol stack development in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree plus five (4) years of experience.

40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm
