The Associate, Portfolio Management & ALM works closely with portfolio managers to help monitor performance and risk, preparing clear analysis and reports that support tactical decisions to improve returns while staying aligned with liability objectives.

What You Will Do:

  • Assist in the daily oversight of existing asset portfolios, tracking positions against cedant guidelines and internal risk limits.
  • Participate in regular check‑ins with external asset managers to discuss market developments, portfolio performance, compliance, and tactical shifts across public and private fixed‑income markets.
  • Compile and analyze data on key performance drivers versus targets, highlighting trends and recommending incremental improvements.
  • Contribute to the development of investment recommendations by researching market conditions and ALM considerations.
  • Help evaluate prospective investments, comparing their relative value to alternative opportunities.
  • Support the onboarding and documentation of new investment mandates.
  • Collaborate with Actuarial, Risk, Capital, Finance, and Treasury teams on pricing, due‑diligence projects, and other firm‑wide initiatives.
  • Foster positive working relationships across functional teams.

What You Will Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field; progress toward an advanced degree, CFA charter, or actuarial/risk credential is a plus.
  • 2-4 years of experience in insurance asset management, fixed‑income portfolio management, or other liability‑driven investment roles.
  • Familiarity with fixed-income markets across public and private sectors, ALM principles, and portfolio performance measurement is viewed favorably.
  • Proficiency with MS Office for analysis and reporting; familiarity with Python or SQL is advantageous.
  • Ability to demonstrate ownership over responsibilities and ability to collaborate across various teams.

The base salary range for this role is listed below and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.
