These individuals analyze client needs, develop operational strategies, and offer guidance and support to help clients streamline processes, improve productivity, and drive business performance.

Meaningful work you’ll be part of 

As an operations consulting generalist at PwC, you will possess a broad understanding of various aspects of operations consulting. You will provide comprehensive guidance and support to clients in optimizing operational efficiency and effectiveness considering resource allocations, governance, structure, operational design and strategy. Working in this area, you will analyze client needs, develop operational solutions, and offer recommendations tailored to specific business requirements. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:  

  • Assisting in the development of strategic plans, operational frameworks, and implementation roadmaps. 

  • Preparing clear, client-ready presentations and deliverables under the guidance of senior team members. 

  • Participating in client meetings and workshops and communicating findings to both clients and internal project teams. 

  • Supporting data collection, cleansing, and anlysis to underpin diagnostics and opportunity assessments. 

  • Conducting root-cause analyses and building financial and operational models to quantify improvement opportunities and assess trade-offs. 

  • Leveraging analytics and visualization tools to generate insights and prioritize solutions. 

  • Supporting implementation activities such as process redesign, piloting, testing, and change management to embed new ways of working. 

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support project execution. 

  • Facilitating process mapping, value stream workshops, and documentation of current and future state processes. 

  • Maintaining project documentation, tracking milestones, and supporting project management activities. 

  • Engaging in your personal development through training, coaching, and knowledge sharing. 

  • Demonstrating flexibility and willingness to travel up to 70% as needed to support client delivery and project success.

Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Administration, Operations Management, Public Policy, Political Science, Science, Education, or a related discipline, 0 of 2 years of professional experience (including internships, co-ops, or early career roles) in consulting, operations, professional services, business administration, or related functions. 

  • Hands-on experience in at least two of the following areas: 

    • Program management and implementation 

    • Policy or business analysis 

    • Operating model and governance design

    • Strategic planning and performance measurement 

    • Process improvement and operational efficiency (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)

    • Stakeholder engagement and change management 

    • Financial analysis and budgeting 

    • Regulatory compliance and risk management 

    • Digital transformation and IT systems 

    • Project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) 

    • Data analytics, modelling or analysis

  • Consulting or advisory services 

  • Experience developing presentations and visualizations (PowerPoint, Power BI, Tableau basics). 

  • Familiarity with data tools or programming languages (SQL, Python, Alteryx) is an asset; and strong analytical and modeling skills using simulation tools and AI. 

  • Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders at multiple levels and lead workstreams. 

  • High professional integrity, a collaborative mindset, proactive ownership of assignments, and a strong desire to learn.

The salary range for this position is $65,600 - $109,300. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements.  We are committed to offering competitive compensation and adhere to all relevant pay transparency legislation.
