Associate, Oncology CI

ROLE SUMMARY

The Associate on the Competitive Intelligence (CI) team plays a crucial role in collecting, analyzing, and disseminating external events and insights to drive key business decisions. This role supports global efforts across the oncology pipeline, including product development, financial forecasting, research and development and commercial. The Associate will work closely with Senior Associates, Managers, Team Guides, and the CI Oncology Director/Team Lead to understand and analyze industry and peer oncology drug developers, enabling objective clinical and commercial assessments, as well as socialization of comprehensive disease landscapes across Pfizer’s oncology teams and key decision makers. The Associate supports the CI team’s goal of being the originator of objective competitor-related intelligence which enables informed decision-making across project and asset teams and governance bodies.


ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate with support from the CI Senior Associate, the CI Team Guide and the CI Director

  • Execute comprehensive secondary research and gather competitive intelligence to support pipeline stewardship and product development.

  • Monitor tumor area landscapes and competitor activities, including product pipelines, business development deals, and market movements, and provide insights to internal stakeholders.

  • Support the PDA, commercial development, business development and R&D teams by contributing key inputs necessary for commercial assessments, financial forecasting and governance decision making.

  • Participate in updating the CI knowledge management system with current research and ensure accuracy of data.

  • Support the CI team in preparing intelligence reports for internal decision-making forums.

  • Contribute to the development of strategic CI frameworks and competitive landscape monitoring.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS degree in life sciences, business, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 0-2 years of experience in competitive intelligence, data analytics, or a related role within the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry.

  • Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional teams. 

  
Work Location Assignment: Hybrid

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $62,700.00 to $104,500.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 7.5% of the base salary.
