We are looking for a Mobility Support Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will help improve the productivity of CoStar Group employees by being the first point of contact for internal IT information and problem resolution, focusing on our mobility platform. This is accomplished by diagnosing and resolving problems with Mobile Device hardware, third-party and proprietary software, internet connectivity, and other issues in a timely and professional manner via telephone, email, chat, remote tools, and hands-on support. 

Excellent customer service should be your motto. You are a self-starter, problem solver, and excellent communicator. You can clearly explain troubleshooting steps over the phone to customers and are willing to adjust your explanation as needed to resolve issues quickly. You can juggle multiple projects at once, with frequent follow-ups with customers. 

This position is located in our Richmond, VA office and offers a schedule of Monday to Thursday in office with the option to work remote on Friday.    

 

Responsibilities 

  

  • Provide guidance, assistance, coordination, and follow-up on customer questions, problems, or malfunctions of all systems, applications, hardware, and software installed and maintained by the company, utilizing our Jira ticketing platform. 

  • Configure and troubleshoot multiple mobile devices, including but not limited to: iPads, smartphones, and other IOT devices 

  • Responsible for managing the mobile devices and their configurations with direction from the Lead Mobility Engineer 

  • Document problems and solutions in the IT Support ticketing system 

  • Inform management of potential problems and identify problem trends by providing / generating comprehensive reports and metrics for monitoring of services 

  • Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade mobility hardware and software as needed 

  • Participate in projects related to the mobile device environment, such as assessment, deployment, and implementation of hardware and software upgrades and procedures 

  • Other duties and special projects as assigned 

 

Basic Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited, not for profit, in-person university or college 

  • 1+ year of experience providing customer support for mobile devices 

  • Ability to lift/move equipment up to 50 lbs 

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills 

  • Call center support experience, specifically experience at a mobile carrier (Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, etc.) 

  • MDM experience with Intune or Workspace One 

  • IT Certifications
