JOB DESCRIPTION:

Core Job Responsibilities:
Main Responsibilities
30% Develop medical strategy and tactic in dedicated TA
30% Lead MA and MSL team to successfully conduct medical project
20% Support medical department program and quality system
20% Team management


Develop medical strategy and tactic in dedicated TA
•    Involve in developing the Medical strategy/brand/product strategies/regional strategy
•    Provide medical insights in portfolio extension management & MKT access
•    Establish KOL management strategy to build trust with customers through value co-creation
•    Closely cooperate with Global and Regional functions to ensure the strategy alignment in Abbott
•    Innovate in medical digital strategy
Lead MA and MSL team to successfully conduct medical project
•    Generate local data/evidence to improve patients outcomes and achily participate in global study
•    Be responsible for all the Abbott medical initiated/sponsored events in dedicated TA
•    Gain medical insights by holding national or regional AB meeting 
•    Initiate medical education program such as Journal club, publication workshop,TTT, post-congress, and etc. 
•    Act as study physician for post marketing study and study coordinator for registration trials
•    Review and approve promotional materials and scientific material
•    Proactively share the latest medical information including clinical trial data, new publication, treatment guideline/consensus interpretation and provide summary of product efficacy and safety profile through regular new sales or advanced training to sales team
•    Participate key national promotional activities and provide speaker management for KOLs
•    Collaborate with cross-functional peers such as marketing access, regulatory team, business development and etc. via supporting activities of Market Access or hospital listing and regulatory dossiers preparation, medical assessment of new product/indication plan;
•    Timely response to medical inquiry from the files
•    Provide appropriate medical input in product crisis management
•    Establish medical digital platform/tools to improve efficiency
Support medical department program and quality system 
•    Lead or artily participate in key medical initiated projects cross-TA;
•    Ensure updated medical SOP and provider medical governance and medical response to audit/inspection
•    Enable internal quality system, set up and maintain local medical SOP 
•    Initiate optimization of internal process for excellence of medical operation
Team management
•    Build and manage the MA/MSL team including recruitment, setting up annual objective and individual development plan, performance evaluation, talent review, promotion and succession plan;
•    Develop MA/MSL team to achieve the team and individual target as well as individual development plan through training,feedback,coaching,guidance and evaluation, etc.
•    Ensure team’s timely competition of training course on compliance and no major finding about  compliance issue in all medical initiated events.

Position Accountability/Scope:

•    Lead MA/MSL team to ensure scientific driven approach in all environments
•    Gather and translate medical insights from HCPs into solutions addressing patient’s needs
•    Identify, develop and execute solutions specific to TA/ecosystem needs
•    Key source of local insight transformation to global teams
•    Medical governance of activities/materials
•    Work as a synergist to oversee the implementation and to help customer facing team to achieve maximum value for patients.
•    Project owner and leader for all patient/disease awareness related projects as well as medical grant and donation projects according to the discussion with compliance team. 
•    Partner with scientific society to identify the gaps and deliver medical education modalities for HCP to broaden Abbott reach and effect behavioral change in HCPs and Patients. 

Minimum Education:
Education:
•    Master’s degree or above in clinical medicine, pharmacy or other health related
•    More than 2 year’s clinical practice or clinical research experience in dedicated TA
•    Medical educational background in defined Therapeutic Area is preferred 
Minimum Experience/Training Required:
Experience: 
Industry experiences: 
•    Working experience in medical affairs in MNC pharmaceutical company for more than 5 years;
•    Experiences in medical team of pharmaceutical industry as MA or Physician
•    Experience as people manager for at least 2 year;
•    Medical Affairs experience in dedicated TA is preferred;

Position experiences: 
•    Having experience to successfully lead medical projects in dedicated TA;
•    Experiences of Clinical Development in dedicated TA is preferred
•    Clinical practice in Abbott products related therapeutic areas is preferred
