Associate Manager, Utilities (Maintenance) 

Join a fast-growing team at FUJIFILM Biotechnologies. We’re seeking an Associate Manager to lead Utilities maintenance across black utilities, clean utilities, and HVAC. You’ll be part of a team of four managers with overlapping responsibilities, collaborating closely to ensure safe, reliable, and GMP-compliant operations. 

About the Role 

You will oversee day-to-day utilities maintenance, lead a skilled technician team and contractors, and partner with MFG operations, Engineering, and QA. You’ll manage procedures and budgets, respond to issues with urgency, and support commissioning/start-up to ensure maintenance readiness from day one. You will be part of a management team of four, overlapping and substituting for each other to ensure continuous coverage and support. 

What You’ll Do 

  • Lead planning and execution of preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance via CMMS; ensure safety, GMP, and ALCOA documentation. 

  • Manage and develop technicians and contractors; coordinate with Operations and fellow managers to align priorities and coverage. 

  • Drive reliability and continuous improvement: troubleshoot critical issues, run root-cause analyses, and implement CAPAs. 

  • Approve utilities procedures and own business processes aligned with Danish legislation and site standards. 

  • Manage the utilities budget (~DKK 10–15M), spares strategy, and procurement; optimize resources and costs. 

  • Support commissioning and start-up of new/expanded systems to secure maintenance readiness. 

Key systems include black utilities (steam, chilled water, compressed air, power), clean utilities (WFI, clean/pure steam, process gases), and HVAC  systems (BMS, SCADA/PLC interfaces). 

What You Bring 

  • 5+ years maintaining utility and process equipment in a GMP manufacturing environment. 

  • Proven leadership of technicians and contractors; strong safety and compliance mindset. 

  • Experience with CMMS, BMS, and other control systems. 

  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. 

  • Collaborative and systematic approach with a continuous improvement focus. 

  • Proficiency in English; Danish is required.

You’ll join the Technical Operations and Maintenance (TOM) department—140+ professionals maintaining and optimizing site-wide systems. Within TOM, the Utilities team is 50 colleagues deliver 24/7 technical support and drive world-class equipment performance through data and continuous improvement. Within Utilities, you’ll work as one of four managers with overlapping responsibilities, coordinating coverage, sharing best practices, and ensuring reliable, compliant operations around the clock.
