What This Role Means in Today’s Evolving Market as an Associate Manager, Talent Acquisition-Sales

The Auto Club Group is seeking a prospective Associate Manager, Talent Acquisition-Sales who is responsible for leading a team of recruiters and driving high-performance talent acquisition outcomes that align with ACG’s growth objectives. This role emphasizes team development, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration to support the delivery of timely, high-quality hires.

The Associate Manager will work across multiple client groups, serving as a strategic recruiting partner, while fostering a high-performing, engaged, and accountable team culture. This role also plays a critical part in enhancing the overall Talent Acquisition infrastructure and implementing scalable, efficient recruiting processes and initiatives

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Lead, coach, and develop a team of recruiters, ensuring clarity of expectations, performance accountability, and continuous professional growth
  • Performance Management
    • Drive recruiter performance by setting and monitoring KPIs (e.g., time-to-fill, candidate quality, funnel health) and ensuring consistent achievement of team goals
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Operate across assigned client groups, partnering closely with business stakeholders to align hiring strategies with workforce planning and growth needs
  • Recruiting Process & Funnel Management
    • Monitor candidate pipeline activity, ensuring an uninterrupted flow of candidates through the recruitment funnel and resolving bottlenecks when needed
  • Data & Insights-Driven Strategy
    • Leverage recruiting data and analytics to tell a compelling story, uncover trends, and influence decision-making across the organization. Use insights to optimize processes, improve sourcing strategies, and drive meaningful change in how talent is acquired
  • Program Implementation
    • Lead the implementation of new TA programs, tools, and initiatives to improve hiring effectiveness, diversity outreach, and candidate experience
  • TA Infrastructure & Strategy Support
    • Collaborate with TA Managers and peers to strengthen the talent acquisition infrastructure and implement strategies that balance quality, speed, and compliance
  • Compliance & Reporting
    • Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable laws related to hiring and selection. Oversee timely and accurate completion of applicant tracking records, hiring data reports, and recruitment trend analysis
  • Culture & Engagement
    • Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and ownership, ensuring team engagement and alignment with ACG’s values and talent philosophy
  • Maintain ongoing industry knowledge. Enhance competencies and experience necessary to continue professional development in this field
  • Assist or participate in the process to select, hire, train, develop, counsel, and discipline assigned staff in accordance with corporate and Human Resource policies and procedures. Manage a team of professional and clerical staff responsible for talent acquisition and recruiting activities

Required Qualifications:

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Work experience

  • 5+ years of progressive recruiting experience, including full-cycle recruitment and candidate pipeline management
  • 2+ years of experience selecting, onboarding, and training new recruiters, with a focus on fostering strong foundational recruiting skills
  • Proven success in leading and executing searches for a variety of roles and talent levels across diverse business functions
  • Serving as a strategic and consultative partner to business leaders and HR Centers of Excellence (COEs), building strong relationships and aligning on key talent initiatives
  • Leveraging recruiting technology and tools to improve process efficiency and candidate experience
  • Proficient in analyzing data and recruitment metrics to operationalize strategies, drive performance, and influence decision-making across Talent Acquisition
  • Management ability to include:
    • Workforce management
    • Coordinating and leading small-to-medium sized projects

 In-Depth Knowledge of:

  • EEO Guidelines
  • State and Federal selection and hiring regulations
  • Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)

Skills:

  • Demonstrated people management and leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring, and developing recruiting team members
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage complex workflows and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build strong relationships across teams
  • Proven ability to pivot quickly in response to shifting business needs while continuing to deliver results and maintain focus
  • Comfortable working under pressure and able to support recruiters in meeting time-sensitive hiring goals
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to independently identify, address, and resolve challenges as they arise

Preferred Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Human Resources Management or related field

Experience:

  • Experience leading recruiting teams responsible for hiring sales, commission-based, and/or licensed insurance agents, with a strong understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) talent profiles
  • Strong executive partnership skills, including communicating insights, presenting recommendations, and translating recruiting data into actionable decisions
  • Proven experience improving recruiting team performance through enhanced processes, strategic sourcing, and data-driven workflows, and consistent performance management and accountability practices
  • Workday ATS experience
  • Workday Reporting experience
  • HR Certifications; SHRM-CP, PHR

Work Environment

This position is currently able to work remotely from a home office location for day-to-day operations unless occasional travel for meetings, collaborative activities, or team-building activities is specified by leadership. This is subject to change based on amendments and/or modifications to the ACG Flex Work policy
