About the Team
Be a part of something big.About the Role
Our Go-To-Market (GTM) Enterprise Applications team is currently looking for a experienced Associate Manager to join our dynamic Salesforce Release Engineering team.
The Associate Manager for Salesforce Release & Platform Operations is a high-impact role that bridges technical execution with cross-functional coordination. You will serve as the primary architect of the CI/CD ecosystem, driving the transition from manual deployments to fully automated, high-velocity release cycles.
About You
Salesforce Release Management & CI/CD Automation
CI/CD Architecture: Architect and automate robust pipelines using tools like Copado, Gearset, or Flosum. Focus on reducing manual intervention, increasing deployment velocity, and embedding automated quality gates (linting, unit tests, and regression).
Environment Strategy: Strategically manage the Salesforce sandbox estate. Implement high-fidelity testing environments through automated refresh schedules and data masking, ensuring resource availability for parallel workstreams.
Business Value & Strategic Impact
Value Realization & Metrics: Partner with business owners to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for each release. Translate technical deployments into measurable business value, such as improved user productivity, increased system uptime, or cost savings from automation.
Process Optimization: Identify and advocate for platform enhancements that directly address business pain points, using release telemetry to justify investments in new features or AI-driven automation.
Cross-Team Collaboration & Identity Management
Release Communication & Readiness: Drive the "Release Readiness" process by leading stakeholder walkthroughs. Act as the central voice for release status, ensuring business leaders are aligned on deployment windows and feature impact.
Risk & Challenge Management: Proactively identify and mitigate release risks, such as metadata dependencies and environment contention. Communicate "red-flag" issues to leadership with proposed technical workarounds or rollback strategies.
Identity Integration & Governance: Partner with the Enterprise Identity team to oversee SSO (SAML), OAuth 2.0 scopes, and secure provisioning, ensuring every release maintains robust authentication standards.
Strategic Liaison: Serve as the primary bridge between engineering squads and business stakeholders, translating complex technical risks into actionable business impact.
AI Adoption & Platform Innovation
AI-Driven Productivity: Pilot AI-assisted coding tools, such as GitHub Copilot and Agentforce-integrated developer tools, to accelerate development cycles and improve code documentation.
Strategic Evolution: Lead the technical evaluation and rollout of Agentforce and autonomous agents, ensuring that AI-driven automation is integrated into business workflows while maintaining platform stability.
AI Governance: Establish guardrails for Generative AI usage, ensuring data privacy and ethical AI grounding via Data Cloud.
Our Approach to Flexible Work
With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.
At Workday, we are committed to providing an accessible and inclusive hiring experience where all candidates can fully demonstrate their skills. If you require assistance or an accommodation at any point, please email accommodations@workday.com.
