Associate Manager, Partner Analytics & Insights

The Associate Manager, Partner Analytics & Insights is a hands-on, player-coach role responsible for delivering high-quality analytics, reporting, and insights while directly managing a small team of analysts. This role balances people leadership with day-to-day analytical execution, supporting our Enterprise Partnerships team. This role and their team will provide insights and data analysis to help fuel continued growth. Balancing business insights with external reporting and operational data to help leaders manage and run the business.

This manager is expected to personally perform analysis, build dashboards, and develop insights—not solely delegate work—while setting analytical standards and ensuring consistent, reliable reporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Reporting and Analysis

  • Perform advanced data analysis to support enterprise partnerships, partner success, and operational performance.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance dashboards, scorecards, and executive-level reporting using BI and analytics tools.
  • Write and review SQL queries and analytical models to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and consistency.
  • Deliver ad hoc analyses and deep dives in response to business questions, leadership requests, and emerging trends.

People Leadership & Work Direction

  • Manage and mentor a small team of analysts, providing hands-on guidance and analytical support.
  • Review analyst output for quality, accuracy, and clarity; provide actionable feedback and coaching.
  • Assign work, prioritize requests, and actively collaborate with the team on complex analyses.

Stakeholder & Business Partnership

  • Act as the primary analytics partner for Enterprise Partnerships and be the liaison to SEIs shared service analytics team for additional support and insights.
  • Support operational reviews, planning sessions, QBRs, and leadership meetings with data-backed insights.
  • Proactively identify opportunities where analytics can improve performance, efficiency, or decision-making.

Operational Insight & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, or inconsistencies in metrics, reporting, and data definitions.
  • Improve recurring reporting by simplifying views, reducing manual effort, and increasing automation where possible.
  • Partner with data engineering and BI teams to improve data availability, reliability, and scalability.

Job Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and advanced Excel; experience with PowerBI.  Experience with BigQuery and Salesforce.com a plus.
  • Exposure to forecasting, performance modeling, or trend analysis.
  • Clear, concise communicator who can tell the story behind the data and translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities

Work Experience:

  • 4+ years of hands-on analytics, business intelligence, or reporting experience.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional stakeholders in fast-paced or evolving environments.
  • Experience supporting sales and external clients with SaaS products preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Business, Statistics, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).


Other:

  • Must be able to travel occasionally should a business need arise. For most roles travel would not be common. Travel may involve plane, car or metro. In accordance with ADA policies, reasonable accommodations regarding travel limitations can be provided. Travel will be more common for roles such as Account Executives (25 - 50%), senior leaders (10 – 20%) or Capella Core Faculty (5 – 10%). 
  • Ability to work onsite in Corporate or Campus location (in a typical office environment) may be required based on role. If so, this would include being mobile within the office, including movement from floor-to-floor using elevators or stairs.
  • If offsite or hybrid role, must have access to work in setting which enables meeting all requirements of the role (including privacy, reliable internet access, phone, ability to video conference, etc.) at a remote location.
