Job Title: Associate Manager – Infrastructure Services
 

Role Purpose

The Associate Manager – Infrastructure Services supports the delivery, transformation, and management of end-to-end infrastructure services for DXC customers. The role spans the full lifecycle of infrastructure delivery—design, solution, deploy, migrate, operate, optimise, and improve—across enterprise technologies including servers, storage, networks, cloud platforms, middleware, databases, end-user services, and datacenter solutions.

This role works closely with technical teams, architects, service owners, and customer stakeholders to ensure DXC delivers secure, scalable, high-performing services that meet contractual and operational commitments.

Essential Job Functions

Infrastructure Engineering & Delivery

  • Support the design, build, and deployment of infrastructure solutions across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP, private cloud).
  • Contribute to infrastructure migrations, upgrades, and modernisation programmes including data centre migrations, OS refresh, AD consolidation, network reengineering, or platform lifecycle updates.
  • Assist in managing infrastructure supporting technologies including:
    • Servers (Windows, Linux, Unix)
    • Storage & backup
    • Databases (SQL, Oracle, DB2)
    • SAP Basis & middleware
    • Mainframe environments
    • Containers & Kubernetes
    • Networking (LAN/WAN, firewalls, load balancers)

End User Computing & Collaboration

  • Support Modern Device Management (Intune, SCCM, Autopilot), collaboration platforms (O365, Teams), identity management (AD/Azure AD), and endpoint security tooling.
  • Assist with Intelligent Collaboration services, endpoint lifecycle management, and application lifecycle activities.

Operations, Incident & Problem Management

  • Help maintain availability, performance, and stability of infrastructure services.
  • Participate in incident, problem, and root-cause investigations, supporting timely restoration and permanent fix implementation.
  • Help coordinate field services and technical service desk teams to meet SLA and OLA expectations.

Governance, Strategy & Continuous Improvement

  • Support the execution of infrastructure roadmaps, lifecycle management schedules, capacity plans, and compliance frameworks.
  • Contribute to process improvements, automation opportunities, and best practice adoption (ITIL, DevOps, Agile).
  • Assist in producing infrastructure documentation including runbooks, architecture diagrams, standard operating procedures, and service reports.

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

  • Work with cross-functional teams to translate business and customer requirements into technical solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with technical teams, service managers, vendors, and customer stakeholders.
  • Support resource planning and optimisation across infrastructure workstreams.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent industry experience.
  • Typically 6+ years of industry experience, including 2+ years in infrastructure operations, engineering, or technical delivery roles.
  • Experience in one or more infrastructure domains: servers, cloud, networks, EUC, datacentre, storage, DBA, or middleware.
  • Practical understanding of ITSM processes (Incident, Change, Problem).
  • Demonstrated teamwork and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies.

Other Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Advanced degree or postgraduate certification in technology, engineering, or management.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as:
    • Azure / AWS / Google Cloud fundamentals or associate level
    • Microsoft 365 & Modern Device Management (Intune / MDM)
    • Cisco CCNA, VMware VCP, Red Hat, CompTIA A+/N+/S+
    • ITIL Foundation or Practitioner
    • SAP Basis, DBA certifications, or mainframe training
  • Experience working in large-scale enterprise or managed service environments.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving capability and structured thinking.
