In this role, you will lead the team that ensures the seamless and compliant movement of medical technology into and out of the country—directly influencing patient access, operational continuity, and business performance. You will shape processes, drive global initiatives, and elevate compliance standards across multiple business units in a highly regulated, fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do

  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of Foreign Trade Operations analysts and specialists, driving performance, development, and engagement across multiple complex business units.
  • Oversee all import and export activities, ensuring full compliance with Annex 24, Annex 30, USMCA, R8, COFEPRIS, and all applicable federal and international regulations.
  • Manage the accurate preparation, review, and retention of all import/export documentation, ensuring 100% alignment with shipment data, customer instructions, and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement process improvements that increase operational efficiency, legal compliance, and documentation accuracy across air, sea, and land transportation modes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external compliance partners to maintain robust compliance systems and mitigate regulatory risks.
  • Partner with customs brokers, government agencies, and industry associations to facilitate smooth trade operations and resolve issues quickly.
  • Drive the launch and execution of global projects related to foreign trade, supporting new product introductions and strategic business requirements.
  • Communicate policies, updates, and risk-prevention measures to cross-functional teams—including Finance, Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Legal—to ensure organizational alignment.

What you need:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Trade, International Business, or a related field.
  • Previous Experience in regulated industries
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in foreign trade operations.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading teams of at least three people.
  • Proven experience with import and export processes via air, sea, and land transportation.
  • Strong working knowledge of Annex 24, Annex 30, USMCA, R8, COFEPRIS, and other foreign trade regulations.
  • Advanced English level

Preferred:

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional areas such as Finance, Engineering, Advanced Operations, Quality, and Legal.
  • Previous experience in Medical Devices industries

Travel Percentage: 20%
