HOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE…
You will directly influence the management and strategic direction of the $1B Snacks Chips Category in a highly operational role where you and the Manager are P&L owners. As a steward of our iconic Chips brands (Kettle Brand, Cape Cod, Late July), you will drive proactive financial analysis to help achieve Sales, Gross Margin, and EBIT targets. This role provides deep visibility across the organization and offers a strong platform for career growth across multiple disciplines.
WHAT YOU WILL DO…
Process-Based Responsibilities (50%)
Manage the innovation gating/commercialization process, including Horizon 2 launches.
Develop proforma P&Ls, validate assumptions, and partner closely with Supply Chain and Sales to determine accurate costing and efficient pricing/trade strategies.
Provide informal coaching/review to a more junior teammate involved in this process.
Support the monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process:
Prepare monthly analytics and presentations for Senior Management
Lead proactive monthly flux analyses
Highlight projection changes
Build sales and margin bridges using system EVAs
Exercise full P&L ownership
Lead the monthly volume load process, requiring deep understanding of:
Chips Profit Center Hierarchy
SKU structure in EPM
Pricing across pack sizes
IBP OW model and demand load
This portion of the role is highly analytical.
Ad-Hoc & Category Strategy Responsibilities (50%)
Serve as a key preparer of the Chips 3-Year Strategic Plan and Annual Operating Plan:
Scenario modeling
YOY flux analyses
Bridge analyses
Identifying and articulating risks & opportunities
Conduct Ad-Hoc FP&A analysis for individual Chips brand P&Ls:
Work with finance SMEs to diagnose cost increases or “leaky buckets,” propose mitigation plans, and identify process improvements or growth opportunities.
Execute ad-hoc strategic and analytical projects, including:
Margin roadmaps
Modeling of strategic incremental opportunities
LPI and PPA impact analyses
Capital/payback/ROI modeling
SKU rationalization analyses and recommendations
Mix analyses across brands to drive margin performance
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH…
You will act as a key finance partner to the Chips Leadership Team, collaborating closely with:
Brand Marketing (GMs of each brand)
Sales Strategy / RGM
Consumer Insights
Innovation
Supply Chain
R&D
Sales Finance
Broader cross-functional partners
You will also have frequent exposure to senior leadership and opportunities to lead presentations.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE… (MUST HAVE)
Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Finance or related fields
5+ years of related financial experience
Strong financial acumen and analytical skills
Ability to prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment; self-starter mentality
Continuous improvement mindset
Strong attention to detail
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; ability to influence in a matrixed environment
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills (Think-cell a plus)
ERP system proficiency (SAP, EPM)
Working knowledge of GAAP
Ability to “live in the grey,” synthesize quantitative and qualitative factors, and provide balanced recommendations
IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE… (NICE TO HAVE)
Experience in CPG
Prior P&L ownership or FP&A experience
Experience coaching or mentoring junior analysts
Background supporting commercialization or innovation finance processes
Additional Information
This position is based in Camden, NJ.
Campbell’s operates a hybrid work environment: 3 days in-office / 2 days remote.
Travel up to 5% may be required.
Compensation and Benefits:
The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$85,300-$122,600Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
