Boeing’s Specialized United States (US) Infrastructure Organization is currently seeking an Associate Linux and Windows Systems Administrator to join the team in Tukwila, WA or Kent, WA.

This position will install, operate, secure and maintain dedicated Program Information Technology Infrastructure that is required to deliver products to our customers.

This role primarily focuses on supporting multiple program-dedicated applications that span a range of technology stacks, such as Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Office suites, software development environments (Jira, Git, Jenkins), Oracle and SQL databases, and Java.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with Programs and Security to ensure Information Technology infrastructure solutions meet the Program and Security requirements and schedules

  • Perform a multi-disciplined range of technical systems and application activities

  • Install, configure, troubleshoot and provide maintenance of systems hardware, software and components

  • Ensure Information Technology infrastructure conforms with standard architectural objectives

  • Determine and develop approaches to solutions

  • Represent the organization by providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Successfully completed a Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years, or enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last 5 years

  • 1+ years of experience in performing system administration tasks on Windows and Linux hosts including installing security patches and making configuration changes to support security requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in integrating hardware and software components into a functional system

  • 1+ years of experience with computing administration to include managing Microsoft active directory design, deploy and operational support

  • 1+ years of experience working with Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Integration in a Linux or Windows environment

  • 1+ years of experience working within multi-disciplined teams to resolve business impacting computing issues

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Current CompTIA Security+ Continuing Education (CE) certification

  • 1+ years of experience in architecture, designing, and implementing infrastructure for a program

  • 1+ years of experience working with Virtual Systems including Virtual Machine Software (VMWare), design and implementation

  • 1+ years of experience with standardized Network Protocols and Services (i.e. Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN), Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Firewalls, etc.)

Summary pay range: $81,600 – $110,400
