Provides legal support and assistance to product attorneys and supports the business on a variety of legal & contracting matters related to marketed drugs/devices and investigational drugs/devices. Contracting support for R&D and Public Affairs. The Legal Specialist will be responsible for the negotiation, analysis, and administration of a wide range of agreements including but not limited to sponsored research, real world evidence, heatlh outcomes and collaborative research studies.

Main Responsibilities:
Drafting and negotiating various agreements, including those related to consulting, advisory boards, engagements, collaborations, investigational studies and the purchase of services from vendors.
Understanding of legal contract concepts, negotiation strategies, efficient administration, and automation of contract processes.
Working closely with attorneys in the Legal department, Medical and Public Affairs functions of Sanofi’s R&D, General Medicines, Specialty Care and Vaccines Business Units
Keeping up to date on current laws and regulations, including laws and industry standards applicable to contracting with customers (healthcare providers, patient advisory groups, trade associations and patients), including FMV, transparency, and data privacy.
Implements contract negotiations processes by preparing first drafts of a variety of contracts.
Conducts complex contract drafting and negotiations.
Interfaces with internal management and external parties to gather specifications, and terms of agreement necessary for contract drafting and negotiations.
Provided contract drafting and US compliance advice & training to internal Contract Services organizations, including contract managers located at off-shore locations,
Responsible for entire negotiations processes for numerous types of contracts.
Communicates company contract policies and requirements to internal managers and employees and highlights areas of concern in regard to individual contracts projects.
Determines and initiates required follow-up and/or additional analyses.
Take lead on projects.
Review and summarize existing contracts internally and/or as part of an external diligence process.
Oversight for contract templates.
Assist with and/or handle client training presentations with respect to company policy, compliance policies, privacy, contract approval processes, etc.
Keep apprised of issues relevant to pharmaceutical industry and accurately relay this information to clients.
Work with client groups, third parties and outside counsel to identify, assess and address general legal concerns.
Demonstrate company’s Play to Win values on a consistent basis.
Prioritize competing projects and set expectations with clients and management.
Ability to work on teams.
Perform related duties as required.
About You
Requirements & Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years’ experience in the contract management field preferred
Trained paralegal with 3-5 plus years of experience in-house corporate legal department, law firm, or governmental agency (Pharma background preferred).

The salary range for this position is:
$41.13 - $54.84All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs. Additional benefits information can be found through the LINK.
