Associate Legal Counsel - Corporate Trust (Remote Hybrid)

As an Associate Legal Counsel for Corporate Trust you will work on structured finance transactions, escrows, Muni & other Corporate Trust transactions by reviewing relevant transaction documentation and providing suggested changes to the documentation necessary to protect Corporate Trust's interests. 

How you’ll spend your time:

  • Review and comment on structured finance documents, escrow agreements, Municipal and Corporate Bond and note documents and other transaction documentation.
  • Advise administrators on post-closing extraordinary administrative duties of a legal nature.
  • Maintain expertise and advise Compliance Officer and Corporate Trust Relationship Managers regarding risk & compliance matters.
  • Advise Corporate Trust department on various legal issues.
  • Maintain current on legal and compliance issues that may impact Corporate Trust department.
  • Strategize with management on new opportunities, products and overall vision of CT
  • Create and maintain referral relationships with transaction counsel
  • In conjunction with Sales and Management, visit clients and attend industry conferences
  • Work closely with Relationship Managers and Management on ensuring smooth transaction closings
  • Stay active in life of the trust transactions, assisting with changes made to the transactions

Compensation Range:

$69,230.00 - $149,000.00

The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMB’s standard for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
