Job Description

The Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) role is a position specifically designed to meet the needs of scientific experts through a group of medical professionals with deep knowledge about specific disease states, available products, and investigational compounds (both Lilly and competitor), as well as detailed knowledge about research, regulatory and medical education. By providing relevant information and facilitating scientific exchange between industry and the scientific expert community, MSLs have the opportunity to improve patient outcomes by providing needed information that addresses important clinical and scientific questions.

 

Task to be developed 

  • Learn how to maintain and effectively communicate deep scientific knowledge in immunology area, including UC and CD.
  • Participate in activities involving customer engagement and support medical/scientific information needs of scientific experts. Provide deep and advanced disease state and product information in UC and CD.   
  • Support internal partners as appropriate and identify possible collaborative research or external collaborations.    
  • Synthesize complex data and effectively communicate meaningful clinical insights and unanswered customer questions they receive.   
  • Help in fostering cross functional collaboration with an active contribution to medical planning and strategy in the affiliate gastroenterology (mirikizumab in UC and CD).
  • Learn how to implement a strategic territory plan that is aligned to Lilly’s priorities while leveraging a deep knowledge of customers to prioritize their needs and preferences. Focus on virtual plan.
  • Learn interpersonal strategies to engage with scientific experts on the field and virtually being aligned with customer expectations. Leverage omnichannel engagement to meet expert needs while optimizing time and territory management.
  • Propose optimized solutions to complex problems via methodical root cause analysis

Requirements

Master or Bachelor level degree in health sciences and PhD level degree.

 

Essential Skills

Communication, interpersonal, organizational.

Excellent English (C1/Advance).

Residence in Madrid.

Willing to travel up to 70% of time. Strong virtual engagement.

 

Desirable Skills

Knowledge in UC and CD state and therapeutic arsenal.

Highly motivated and capable of comprehending large amounts of scientific content, which is then communicated in a clear.

Strong interpersonal skills, including capability to engage in professional relationship building and networking.

Demonstrated success in self-managing priorities and multi-tasking projects.

Ability to work effectively and share information within a team environment.
